The Matt-Evelyn Relationship is a friend and romantic relationship between Matt Page and Evelyn McGuire. The two meet at Summer Bay High when Evie first attended to school and Matt and Evie develop a crush on each other, much concern to Evie's twin brother Oscar McGuire, who hates Matt. Matt is also Evie's first kiss.
However, they stop having crushes on each other when Matt starts dating Sasha Bezmel and Evie dates Josh Barrett. In 2016, they start to fall in love and start a relationship. When Evie is offered a job in Vietnam, Matt decided to join her and they decided to tie the knot and married in March 2017, before departing Summer Bay together with Matt's sister Eloise Page.
Storyline[]
Matt and Evie first met just after Evie started at Summer Bay High, where he accidentally ran into her in the hallway at school, he immediately took an interest in Evelyn much to Oscars annoienes, Matt invite Evelyn to a beach party where he attempted to kiss her, at the party Matt danced flirtatiously at the party with Maddy which lead to Evie giving him the cold shoulder at the music festival.
After Evelyn's father died, Matt and Evie started hanging out again well at the surf club Matt kisses Evelyn which leads to Oscar starting a fight with him. They later attend to Chris Harrington's party and dance together, before Evie was taken back home by her uncle Zac MacGuire. However, they stop having crushes on each other when Matt dates Sasha Bezmel and Evie dates Josh Barrett.
When Evelyn was tutoring Matt's sister Ellie, Ellie tried to get them together. Matt and Evelyn at first teased Ellie thats they qwere a couple but soon they do genuinely have feelings for one another. They officially became a couple in episode 6569. * Matt said "I love you" to Evie for the first time in 6574. In episode 6620, Evie proposed to Matt and in the next episode got married.
