Matthew 'Matt' Page, is a teenager from Mangrove River, known for his light humour.School wasn't exactly his favourite place. He loves skateboarding and has a passion for music. he had many relationship throughout the show.
He had a minor crush on best friend Evelyn McGuire, who was his first kiss, then he had his first relationship with Sasha Bezmel, whom he lost his virginity to. He had a secret, forbidden affair with his teacher Charlotte King, he also has a huge crush and a second relationship with his friend and fomer rival Maddy Osborne and had a minor relationship with Zoe Gardner. He's currently Married to his first crush and best friend Evelyn.
Storylines[]
In 2015, Matt tand Josh come up with idea to distract Evie, who is upset and devastated about Hannah's condition. And Sasha who is Frustrated about her Uni results the two couples hangs out at Sasha's house alond with Chris and Spencer, watching a movie But the two girls decided to go for a walk and leaves the boys at the house.
Josh and Evie start to worry for Matt, when he returns to his old ways. In the weeks that followed his break up with Sasha and her departure.Matt's behaviour becomes increasingly self-destructive and Matt begins to drink heavy. Matt Forcefully kisses Evie who does not welcome his advances. Her boyfriend Josh attacks Matt when he learns the truth.Matt ends up fighting with Josh during the ANZAC excursion in Canberra, that he attended with Evie, Oscar, VJ, Jett, John, Zac, Alf and Marilyn.Matt nd the others stayed in an old trench for the night and Matt starts staring at Evie and Josh calls him a loser. Matt get attacked by Josh when he mentioned that Evie has soft lips ,when Alf has run offin the middle of the night Matt goes to the search party to find Alf and Jett found him, who was in a chest pain. Matt along with Jett Evie VJ oscar and Josh all help they grabbed each side of the stretcher and brings Alf back to the trench. The next morning, Alf was sent to the hospital in the city by a chopper, while Josh offers Matt a blanket and watches as they chopper flies off.Leah becomes concerned that Matt is drinking too much and has a problem. She had previously taken him into her home and helped him through his troubles. She finds Matt collapsed on the floor as a result of too much alcohol. Matt eventually takes off to Mangrove river and tell Josh and Evie arrive to try and convince him to return to Summer Bay Matt and Evelyn competed with each other in a small rap battle,Matt and his friends were impressed with evelyn's Ability but matt eventually told her and Josh to leave, When Josh brought up Ellie, Matt tried to punch him but missed and fell to the ground, While he is out drinking alcohol Matt is involved in a robbery at an ATM machine in Mangrove River. Police officer Kat Chapman examines CCTV and identifies Matt as being on the scene. She brings Matt in for questioning over the incident and he claims he cannot remember anything because he was drunk at the time. Leah refuses to believe that Matt is guilty and accuses Kat of targeting Matt because of his past. But Leah finds a bundle of money hidden in Matt's mattress and is then convinced he is responsible. Matt feels ashamed of himself when Leah confronts him as he has let her down, Matt apologizes to Josh and Evie, with the help of Maddy. Matt become annoyed when people start to think that he and Maddy like each other .Matt later had a fling with Charlotte King, who is a new teacher in Summer Bay High. Maddy was the first person to find out and agrees to keep it a secret. Matt soon develops a crush on Maddy and dreamt about her one night. He told VJ that he has a crush on Maddy and tries to shut it. He rescued Maddy from Kyle when he tried to sexual assault her. Months later, Charlotte's son, Hunter found out about Matt and Charlotte's fling and told his father, Zac. Charlotte lost her job as a teacher after Zac reported to the principal, Greg Snelgrove. Matt then resume his crush for Maddy. Maddy found out that she's the girl that he's in love with, but told him that she loves Oscar. Matt told Maddy to the hospital when she felt ill like when she had cancer. But it turns out that her cancer hasn't returned, which delights them both. Matt held her hand and said that there's something that they can celebrate. That night, Matt told Roo how he felt about Maddy when he held her hand and never wanted to let her go.However, Oscar heard the talk and confronted Maddy. The next day, Oscar punches Matt in the face and Maddy was furious at Oscar for hurting Matt.
Matt joins Asia Chalker and Maddy with the Year 12 Formal and Oscar joins them. Matt told Maddy that he'll hook up with many girls at schoolies, but Maddy tells him not to. Matt was confused why she cares and confronts her. Maddy revealed to Matt that she has feelings for him, but her love for Oscar is not over. At the schoolies party, Asia tries to kiss Matt, but he backs away. Matt fell to the ground after playing limbo, Maddy helps him up, but he pulled her towards him to the ground, and they had a moment. A week later, it was the formal evening. Matt saw Maddy in her dress and said she looks amazing. Matt overheard Asia and Oscar's talk about their kiss and found out the truth. At Angelo's, Maddy helps Matt with his cufflinks, and they had a small moment again. Matt was unhappy at Oscar for upsetting Maddy when she found out about the kiss. Matt found out from Oscar that Maddy dumped him and Oscar congratulates Matt for winning Maddy's heart. The next day, Matt found out Oscar is missing, and he joins to search party to find him. Maddy became upset, and Matt tries to comfort her and accidentally touched her leg. Matt also tried to reason with Evie, who rightfully had a go at Maddy for saying mean things to Oscar.
When the search party was cancelled, due to the storm, Maddy went to search Oscar on her own. Matt comes with her and drove into the woods. But the car lost control and gets stuck in the mud. Matt decided to walk back to the bay to get help and leaves Maddy in the car safely alone. But as Matt could walk back, a tree branch snapped and fell, hitting Matt in the head and knocking him out. Maddy witnessed the scene and ran out of the car to check on him. Maddy helped him up and get him into the car. Matt was injured in the head, and Maddy treats his bleeding head. Matt told Maddy that they must stay in the car for the night until the storm is over the next morning. The next day, Matt told Maddy that she'll be a great nurse one day, leading them to kiss. Alf found them and took them home. When Oscar was found, Maddy told Matt that she and Oscar can't rekindle their relationship and agree to move on. Maddy told Matt that she likes him and wants to be with him when she's ready to move from Oscar. Matt said he can wait and they held hands. At Leah and Zac's wedding, Matt was one of Zac's best men along with Oscar and Hunter. Matt was shocked when Charlotte interrupted the ceremony and watched as she tried to threaten everyone's secrets, but was taken away by Hunter.
At the reception, Matt was learnt by Irene that Maddy got her dressed ripped and he takes her back inside the house to get change. After Maddy changed, they had a moment until Oscar walked in on them. They act awkward towards him, but he tells them to stop and said if they want to be together just be together. That same night, While still celebrating, Kat and the police interrupt the party and asked for Charlotte. Kat told everyone that Charlotte is Denny's killer. Matt was last seen with Maddy in the house when the MacGuire family argued about Charlotte and Denny. it was mentioned that he and Maddy were together alone in Matt's caravan during Charlotte's murder.Maddy found Matt alone and asked if he's ok. Matt told her that he really wanted to dance with her, and Maddy that she wanted to dance with him too. Matt said he really want to kiss her. Maddy asked what's stopping him. He didn't say a a word and they kiss to start their relationship.
A few days after the murder and the wedding, Matt and Maddy have been sleeping together in the caravan. They were first seen together in bed inside the caravan after having sex. Matt then kisses Maddy on the head multiple times and Maddy said they should get out of bed. But Matt prefers to stay, if Maddy wants to. She stops his words with a kiss and had sex again. They were seen again sitting on a bench at the caravan park and Maddy mentions that the house is no longer called her home since Roo left. Matt asked her to move in with him, Maddy thinks he was joking at first, but Matt said he really meant it and said that he lives her and wants to be with her. Maddy was shocked and asked him does he really love her. He then shouts out loud hat he loves Maddy in front of the campers. Maddy tells him that she loves him too and would love to move in with him, which delights Matt as they embrace and kiss. After Roo agreed for Maddy to move in with Matt, Matt started cleaning up his van for Maddy to move in. He accidentally threw a garbage bag at Oscar's face while cleaning, he told Oscar that Maddy is moving in with him and Maddy moved in on the same day.
Matt heard Maddy screaming and he ran to check on her and she told him that she found a possum, which Matt called him Mr Bo-Jangles inside on her and Matt's bed and Matt said that Mr Bo-Jangles is harmless, whom he made friends with. Matt knew how Maddy feels uncomfortable and they talked that she is not comfortable living in a van. Matt offered her that he'll get citronella candles and tell the other campers to shut up and give the possum his right. That night, while the couple tries to sleep, disturbing noises kept walking them and getting Maddy angry, like a mozzie flew at them, but Matt sprayed bug spray, campers screaming and Matt tells them to shut up, Mr Bo-Jangles climbing on top of the caravan, and Matt used a broom to poke the ceiling to scare him. While working at Angelo's Maddy tells Matt if they wants to live together as a couple they must rent a house or an apartmen. The couple agreed.They move in with Roo
Matt decides to drop out of university which angers Maddy. Maddy asks him to consider his future if he is only working a dead end job in a bar, Matt rebukes her calling her a snob. Matt is arrested in connection with Charlotte's murder. She leaked a sex tape of them online and the police wrongfully believe he killed her in an act of revenge. Matt is criticised online by trolls and Maddy defends him.
After the explosion at the fund raiser, after losing her arm because of infection Matt relationship with Maddy became a strained, Maddy wants to do rehab in the city and then travel the world and wants Matt to come Maddy and Matt meet up to discuss her plans to go travelling as well as rehab in the city. Matt checks that this isn't another of her crazier ideas But Maddy is adamant; she knows in her gut that this is what she needs to do. Matt reveals to Andy that he doesn't want to leave his life in the Bay , he's finally feeling good in life, like he's actually on the right track. Matt shuts down Maddy's suggestion that they have a long distance relationship, saying it'd never work. Seeing how disappointed she is, and not wanting her to be hurt further, Matt buries his reservations and makes the snap decision to go with her.
They all attend the going-away party at Angelo's that afternoon.Ash is a little peeved he's being left in the lurch by Matt, telling him that he would've made a good mechanic.Maddy overhears Matt saying "I wouldn't go if Maddy didn't need me". Back home Matt talks of how much he'll miss everyone, Matt wakes to find a note, which explains Maddy's reasons for leaving without him. Maddy is driven away by her mother. Matt tries to run down the street to catch her but is left devastated.
While both helping out at Matt and Mason strike up a friendship Matt later catches Mason texting on the job, and assumes it must be to a girlfriend. Matt tells Mason that his own girlfriend left for the city. while running into Evie and Josh with Mason Matt they do something, When Evie tries to convince Josh its a good idea ,Matt watches as he bites Evies head off , As Josh is walking way Matt chases after him and has a go at him for treating Evie the way he did. Roo tries to look after Alf, who is recovering from his heart attack, Matt notices the stress Roo is under and gives Alf some harsh truths about treating Roo like a punching bag.
With Josh's sentencing coming up. Evie confides in Matt about her fragile state of mind.Matt makes a heartfelt plea to Josh. For Evie's sake, Josh needs to let her visit. Josh seems unmoved – not seeing her is better for both of them. but Matt tells him to man up. Matt attend Joshs sentencing with Evie and Ash and is left shocked when Josh and Andy go on the run.Matt later admits to Evie that he doesn't blame Josh and Andy for escaping. This does not go down well with Evie, believing it was stupid.Matt later visits Evie to apologise Matt reads the text Evie received from Josh, telling her they'll see Josh again. And he'll punch him square in the face for doing this to her. Evie appreciates it but that doesn't take the hurt away. She's tell him that it feels like everyone she loves seems to disappear. Matt assures her that she still has him Zac and Leah and they aren’t going anywhere.Matt comforts Evie as she breaks down .

Sasha was Matt's first girlfriend and former rival. The two first met when Matt and his classmates from Mangrove River High arrives in Summer Bay for the first time. Matt and Sasha takes an enormous dislike to each other, and Matt teased her and her friends, Spencer, Oscar and Maddy. In 2014, Matt kisses Sasha after she helped her with his school captain speech. He then stopped going to school to look after his sister; Eloise and Sasha discover this and Matt came to Sasha when the Docs tries to take Eloise away. Matt chose his sister to live in another family's house, and he moved out of home. Matt came to Sasha for help when he was forced out of his home, and Sasha and Leah let him stay at Leah's house. This made Matt and Sasha start a relationship. But their relationship became strained when Matt accidently embarrassed her at Maddy's party. Matt strips naked at the beach to embarrass himself to say sorry. They rekindle their relationship. In 2015, Matt and Sasha broke up so Sasha could leave Summer Bay to go to university.

Matt had a crush on Evie when she first came to Summer Bay, but her twin brother, Oscar tries to back her off, since Oscar is enemies with Matt. In 2014, Matt comforted Evie after her father died and kissed her. But Matt and Evie stop having crushes on each other and remain as friends.After Evies break up with josh, Evie wanted to be more spontaneous, With Matt helped her with when they ran into the beach fully clothed, After Matts final breakup with Sasha he returned to his old self pushing everyone away but Evie refused to give up even after he forcefully kissed her when he got back on track Evie tried to set him up with Maddy After Maddy left town and Josh went on the run, Matt and Evie become best friends after losing almost everyone she loves, Matt tells her that she still has him that he's not going anywhere.when Matts sister Ellie tries to set matt and Evie on a date, they agreed to pretend to trick her, but it leads to Matt kissing Evie realising that he has feelings for her.
